DLA Piper Competition partner Daniel Colgan has been listed in the Global Competition Review (GCR) 40 under 40 survey for the Class of 2016.
Launched in 1997, GCR is an essential daily resource for over 10,000 competition law professionals worldwide and is recognised as the world's leading competition law and policy journal and news service. Its special survey, 40 under 40, is published every four years and lists the 40 top competition law practitioners under the age of 40 across the world.

As world leaders gathered this week for the annual UN Climate Change conference, DLA Piper deployed a team of eight partners and lawyers from its global offices to Paris, to represent several developing countries, coalitions of governments and non-state actors, all on a pro bono basis.
COP21, also known as the 2015 Paris Climate Conference, will, for the first time in over 20 years of UN negotiations, aim to achieve a legally binding and universal agreement on climate change, with the aim of keeping global warming below 2°C.

today announces that it represented the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board ("CPPIB") on the joint establishment of a US$500 million Korean logistics development platform, with APG Asset Management, Korean developer, owner and operator e-Shang, and its subsidiary, Kendall Square Logistics Properties (KSLP). The deal includes an option to increase the size of the total equity commitment in the joint venture to US$ 1 billion over time.

through its nonprofit affiliate, New Perimeter, taught a week-long Special Economic Zone Course for the fifth consecutive year at the University of Pretoria in South Africa.
The course, which took place in September, was taught by a global team of DLA Piper lawyers alongside Johann Koen, Legal Counsel for Barclays Africa Group Ltd., who taught two separate sessions on South Africa's Special Economic Zone and trade policies around Africa.
